How to enable cookies and local storage in web browsers

We use cookies and local storage (a second type of cookie) in order to keep you signed in and store small pieces of information while you are using MotorsportReg. Without these features enabled, every click you make looks like a totally new person so we require these features enabled in order to access our service.

Please look for the operating system and browser type that you’re using to access MotorsportReg, and follow the steps provided.

Firefox

Firefox treats cookies and local storage as the same thing, so these steps work for both.

5. From the drop-down menu, choose “Remember history”.
6. Close the window.

Safari

Safari treats cookies and local storage as the same thing, so these steps work for both.

3. Click the icon labeled “Privacy”.
4. Set the option labeled “Block Cookies:” to “Never”.
5. Close the window.

Google Chrome

Chrome treats cookies and local storage as the same thing, so these steps work for both.

2. Click on the menu button to the far right of the address bar.
3. Select “Settings”.
4. Click “Show advanced settings” near the bottom of the page.
5. Click on the “Content settings…” button under the Privacy section.
6. Select “Allow local data to be set”.
7. Click “OK”.

Microsoft Edge

2. Click on the three-dot More Actions button in the top-right corner of your window.
3. Select “Settings” from the menu.
4. Click “View advanced settings”.
5. Under the “Cookies” section, use the drop menu to select “Don’t block cookies”.
6. Restart your browser.

Internet Explorer for Windows

To allow all cookies:

2. Click the “Tools” menu and choose “Internet Options”.
3. Click the tab labeled “Privacy”.
4. Under “Settings”, click on the “Advanced” button.
5. Under “Third-party Cookies”, select “Accept”.
6. Click “OK”.

* To allow only the sites above:

2. Under the “Privacy” tab, slide the slider to the middle so it’s neither blocking nor allowing any sites.
3. Click “Sites”.
4. In the “Address of website” box, type a website address, and then click “Allow”
5. Move the slider back to its original position.

Enabling local storage:

2. Click the “Tools” menu and choose “Internet Options”.
3. Click on the tab labeled “Advanced”.
4. Check the box for “Enable DOM Storage”.
5. Click “OK”.

Note: Internet Explorer may also require you to add “motorsportreg.com to your list of trusted sites in order to work correctly.
